How to Find Your Ring Size

Figuring out the ring size of your future fiancée can sometimes be challenging especially when trying to keep your proposal plans a surprise. It is not an easy task but after years of experience our team is great at it. It will always be recommended to suggest a slightly bigger size so that it is guaranteed to fit on the proposal day. Once she has said yes, she can always come to one of our Novita showrooms and have her ring resized. Novita offers one free resize with every purchase of an engagement ring as we know the importance of getting that perfect fit.

If there is difficulty visiting a jewellery store or our showroom, the next best thing is to order our free ring sizer.

TIP: When using our free ring sizer or any other ring sizer, please make sure it is tight. Engagement rings are meant to be tight and hard to take off.

Ring Resize

If your partner is aware of an impending engagement, it may be best to try on rings, in order to make sure you get the ring size perfect. Visit one of our showrooms but if you live in a city where we don’t have a showroom yet, you can simply visit a local jewellery store who can accurately get her finger size.

Helpful Tips

  1. Usually, our dominant hand is slightly bigger.
  2. On hot days your fingers may be slightly swollen.
  3. On cold days your fingers may be slightly smaller.
  4. Wider rings will feel tighter.
  5. Thinner rings will feel looser.
  6. If unsure, the most common sizes are M - N /6 - 6.5
  7. You can send us photos of her hand and we will try to estimate the finger size from the photo.

The average ring size in UK are M,N sizes. If your partner has smaller than average fingers we would recommend a J,K or L size and if they have larger than average fingers we would recommend O,P or Q size. Please remember that your first resize is free.
